Round Style Log Cabin Folk Art Lamp

This round log Log Cabin Lamp was made for my daughter Abby's wedding. The stone foundation and chimmney are made from Panquitch, Utah sandstone. The "logs" are old dried limbs from walnut trees in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The barnwood siding and roofing shingles are from Kentucky. This lamp took a really long time close to forty hours. All of the logs had to be individually shaved to fit horizontially as well as scribed and notched at the corners. Even though the structure is basically a rectangle, it still was a lot of hard work.
I told my wife that I do not know if I would make another log cabin. But now she wants one so I guess I'll be doing at least one more. If you have a real interest in having a log cabin then you will need to contact me and we can discuss pricing and time frames for construction and delivery.
The Log Cabin Lamp is approximately 7" W x 6"D x 11"T. It took about forty hours to complete. There is a lot of detail in this lamp, from the intricate stone work to the individually notched round logs and individual beveled barnwood shingles.
