DRIFTWOOD FOLK ART BIRDHOUSE

Photo of the Driftwood Birdhouse

The Driftwood Birdhouse was the next step up from the "all stone" birdhouses. One day while we were living in Kentucky I took a walk along the Mississippi River after one of the flood stages and came across a large pile of driftwood. I picked up a box full and came home and made this birdhouse. I got looking at the birdhouse and decided that if the driftwood made my art look better then barnwood would do wonders: and so it began. The sandstone came from Cedar City. Utah. The driftwood came from somewhere along the great length of the Mighty Mississippi River.

In fact we still have this one in our house. My wife Pam uses it in her country theme decorating.

Contact us if you have an interest in any of these older models. Since I no longer build this style house you will need to contact me for pricing.
